# The Crystal Legacy Wand (Varita): Usage and Aim Mode

> The Crystal Legacy Varita (crystal_legacy:varita) is required for three spells. Learn aim mode, melee attack, and the operator per-player aim toggle.

The wand — known in-game as the **Varita** — is one of the most important items in Crystal Legacy. Its item ID is `crystal_legacy:varita`. Three of the four spells (**Bola de Fuego**, **Levioso**, and **Hachazo**) require you to be holding the Varita when you cast them. The only spell that works without it is **Dash**, which you can use regardless of what is in your hand. Understanding how the wand behaves — and how its aim mode works — is essential for getting the most out of your spellcasting.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The wand is given automatically to all players during the Tutorial, including players who join mid-tutorial. If you need to give it manually, operators can run `/master tutorial varita`.

## Wand Behaviors

### Right-Click — Aim Mode

Right-clicking with the Varita activates **zoom/aim mode**. While in aim mode your view narrows and your crosshair becomes more precise, allowing you to accurately target other players. This is especially important for spells like **Levioso**, where correct aim is required for the effect to apply to your intended target. Release or right-click again to exit aim mode.

### Left-Click — Melee Attack

Left-clicking with the Varita performs a basic **melee-style attack**. This gives you a short-range combat option that does not consume any spell charges or trigger a spell cooldown, useful when you need to act quickly up close without spending a spell.

## Operator Aim Mode Toggle

Operators can enable or disable aim mode on a per-player basis using the following commands:

```bash theme={null}
/master apuntado deshabilitar ;player(s);
/master apuntado habilitar ;player(s);
```

Replace `;player(s);` with a player selector or name. The following selectors are accepted:

| Selector | Targets |
| - | - |
| `@a` | All players |
| `@e` | All entities |
| `playerName` | A specific named player |

This is useful for troubleshooting aim issues or adjusting the experience for individual participants during the event.
