# Crystal Legacy: A Minecraft Event Mod for 30 Players

> Crystal Legacy is a Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric mod for 30-player events, featuring spells, automated tutorials, parkour, and a PVP tournament.

Crystal Legacy is a Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric event mod designed from the ground up for organized 30-player events. It ships with custom spells, an automated tutorial sequence, hand-crafted parkour challenges, and a climactic PVP tournament — all driven by a single server that handles every state transition automatically. Whether you are a player sitting down to compete or an organizer spinning up a server for your community, this documentation will walk you through everything you need to know.

## How Crystal Legacy Is Delivered

Crystal Legacy is distributed as two archives:

* **`server.zip`** — contains the Fabric server, all required mods, configuration files, and launch scripts.
* **`client.mrpack`** — contains a ready-to-import Fabric modpack instance pre-configured to connect to your event server.

Unzip the appropriate archive, follow the setup guide for your role, and you will be ready to play in minutes.

## Event Phases

Every Crystal Legacy session moves through five sequential phases managed entirely by the server:

| Phase | Description |
| - | - |
| `DEV` | The default state on boot. The server idles here for testing and map maintenance outside of a live event. |
| `WAITING_PLAYERS` | The server idles at the lobby while players join and organizers prepare the event. |
| `TUTORIAL` | An automated tutorial walks all connected players through core mechanics — spells, movement, and combat. |
| `MINI_EVENTS` | Players compete across a series of structured mini-events including parkour challenges and spell-based encounters. |
| `PVP` | The session culminates in a full 30-player PVP tournament until a winner is crowned. |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Every state transition is server-driven — players never need to take any action to move between phases. Players who join mid-event are automatically synced to the current phase and given any necessary context so they can participate immediately.
