TUTORIAL state is a fully scripted, server-driven onboarding experience. When you enter this phase, the server automatically assigns each of the 30 players one of 30 pre-built tutorial slots on the map and begins walking every player through the Crystal Legacy spell system simultaneously. As the operator, your main role is to monitor progress and intervene only if a minigame stalls or a player gets desynced.
Entering TUTORIAL
Transition the server into the tutorial phase with:How the Tutorial Works
1
Slot Assignment
The server assigns each connected player a unique tutorial slot. All 30 slots are pre-built into the map — one per player — so everyone progresses through their own isolated space simultaneously.
2
Scripted Sequence
The tutorial runs automatically. Each step is server-driven: dialogue, teleports, timing, and minigame triggers all fire without manual operator input.
3
Spell Unlock Minigames
Players learn each of the four Crystal Legacy spells through a dedicated unlock minigame. There is one minigame per spell. Players must complete (or be passed through) each minigame before the tutorial advances.
4
Wand Distribution
The Varita (wand) is automatically given to all players at the correct tutorial step. If a player joins mid-tutorial, the server issues the wand to them as part of the resync — you do not need to hand it out manually.
Late Joins and Resync
Players who join after the tutorial has already started are automatically resynced by the server. The server detects their missing state, assigns them a slot, and brings them up to the current step. If automatic resync fails for a specific player, use the manual resync command described below.Key Operator Commands
Use these commands to monitor and manage the tutorial while it runs. For the complete command reference, see Tutorial Admin Commands./master tutorial info— displays the current step number, total step count, and step status for all active players./master tutorial status— returns the current overall tutorial status./master tutorial skip— advances the tutorial to the next step immediately. Use this if a spell-unlock minigame becomes stuck and cannot be completed normally./master tutorial spell pass— marks the current spell-unlock minigame as passed for all players at once. Use this as an alternative toskipwhen you want to unblock everyone without skipping any content./master tutorial spell unlock ;spell;— unlocks a specific spell for all players immediately. Replace;spell;with the spell name./master tutorial varita— manually gives the wand to all players. Use this if the automatic wand distribution did not fire for one or more players./master tutorial resync player ;name;— manually resyncs a specific player. Replace;name;with the player’s username./master tutorial stop— stops the tutorial entirely.
A
/master tutorial goto ;step; command exists and can jump directly to any step by number. However, this is an internal/creator tool intended for development and map building. Do not use it during a live event run unless you have the official exported step list — jumping to an arbitrary step without knowing its exact preconditions can leave players in an undefined state.
